Vietnam veterans who came home and were later lost can be honored on the In Memory Honor Roll during the visit. Submissions to appear on the local Honor Roll are due by August 18, 2026.

When The Wall That Heals visits Oneonta, the Mobile Education Center’s digital displays will feature the service members on The Wall who called our surrounding communities home — their photographs and stories, drawn from VVMF’s Wall of Faces.
Twenty-six service members from our area are among the names on The Wall, nine of them from Oneonta itself. Explore the Wall of Faces to find and remember them.
They Came Home
The In Memory Program
Thousands of Vietnam veterans returned home and later died as a result of their service — Agent Orange exposure, PTSD, and other service-related causes. Their names are not on The Wall, but they are never forgotten.
VVMF’s In Memory program honors these veterans, and their photographs appear on the In Memory Honor Roll screens when The Wall That Heals visits. You can have your loved one honored — and included in the display when The Wall comes to Oneonta.
Submission deadline: To have a loved one appear on the In Memory Honor Roll during the Oneonta visit, submissions must be received by August 18, 2026.
