The Wall That Heals visited Oneonta September 24–27, 2026, following its planned September 22 arrival. This is the event schedule preserved for reference, not a calendar of upcoming events.

  1. Tuesday, September 22

    Motorcycle Escort & Arrival

    The published route brought The Wall That Heals to Oneonta under motorcycle escort led by the American Legion Riders Post 259, Oneonta, NY. Riders were asked to stage in Cobleskill at 11:30 AM and follow NY Route 7 into Oneonta. The community was invited to line the route.

  2. Wednesday, September 23

    Assembly of The Wall

    The published plan called for the Oneonta Job Corps, veterans, and community volunteers to assemble all 140 panels beginning at 8:30 AM.

    First Volunteer Shift — 2:00 PM

    The first volunteer shift was scheduled for 2:00 PM.

    Volunteer Orientation — 6:00 PM

    The published orientation covered helping visitors locate names and make rubbings, answering questions, and offering support.

  3. Thursday, September 24

    Welcome Home Ceremony — 6:00 PM

    The published program for the evening ceremony welcoming The Wall That Heals to Oneonta. The exhibit was open around the clock during the visit. View the program guide.

    School Field-Trip Day

    Thursday and Friday are dedicated school days, with a focus on 8th and 11th grade students.

  4. Friday, September 25

    School Field-Trip Day

    A dedicated day was set aside for school groups touring The Wall and Mobile Education Center.

    Guided Tours

    Tours with VVMF staff appeared on the published schedule.

    Agent Orange & PTSD Awareness Ceremony — 7:30 PM

    The published program described an evening of remembrance and awareness, concluding with Taps.

  5. Saturday, September 26

    Guided Tours

    Guided tours appeared on the published schedule throughout the visit.

    Taps Ceremony — 6:45 PM

    A brief evening Taps ceremony appeared on the published schedule.

  6. Sunday, September 27

    Closing Ceremony — 1:45 PM

    The published schedule placed the closing tribute before the 2:00 PM end of the visit.
